One of the activities of the International Cooperation Office at the College of Science

 In the context of introducing future youth to this scientific edifice of the mother of colleges, the College of Science, and the services it provides to the community in various types of science through its graduates for nearly 67 years, and with the encouragement of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Aoun, and the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ramadan Al-Jadi, and their continuous support.  Due to the importance of introducing school students to the college’s departments and what they offer to society, as well as its cooperation with state institutions, the College of Science received yesterday, Thursday, 11/23/2023, secondary school students at Al-Ma’rifa International School, Salah Al-Din Branch, and they were received by Dr. Ibtisam Al-Usta, Director of the College’s International Cooperation Office.  The students then went to visit the Chemistry Department, and then to the Zoology Department.  They visited the museum, after which Professor Yasmine Al-Ahmar gave a brief lecture on climate change in Libya. After that, they went to the herbarium of the Botany Department and the Geology Department. The faculty members in the departments that the students visited provided a comprehensive explanation, presentation, and complete analysis of everything the students saw.  An introduction to the departments. At the end of the visit, he met with the college’s dean in charge, Prof. Dr.  Osama Hilal welcomed the students of the school and stressed the college’s constant welcome of school students and the importance of the students’ knowledge of the College of Science, which contributes greatly to the service of other colleges and what it provides in service to the community. At the end of the visit, the school students and the professors accompanying them thanked and appreciated the College of Science for the good reception and explanation.  From the college’s professors, and we, in turn, hope for more of these successful and purposeful programs to serve the generations of a bright future, God willing, for our beloved country, Libya.
