The Physics Department is one of the scientific departments at the Faculty of Education - Tripoli, affiliated with Tripoli University. It is considered one of the departments that was established at the beginning of the establishment of the Teachers' Institute in 1996, then as one of the departments of the Teachers' College in 2004, and later as one of the departments of the Faculty of Education in 2007. One of its main objectives is to elevate the level of physics among the department's students, enhance the scientific level, and serve other departments by providing them with physics courses that meet their requirements. The student who completes the program is awarded a Bachelor's degree in Science and Education after passing 139 units (including a number of specialized courses, general courses, and some educational courses that qualify the student for teaching). The department aspires to open up opportunities for postgraduate studies in physics and its teaching methods, as well as to develop scientific research in this field and serve the community and the environment.
